Upon receiving the FM and FMc approvals, the FS10A Analyzer Flow Switch/Monitor can be ideally used for continuous flow verification applications in process analyzer sampling systems that work in complex environments within Canada, the U.S., and globally.
The FS10A’s FM and FMc approvals include Nonincendive, Class I, Division 2 Groups A, B, C, D, Class II, Division 2 Groups E, F, G, Class III T4@Ta=71ºC Type 4X.
The Model FS10A Analyzer Flow Switch/Monitor is an advanced yet affordable solution for constant determination of flows within gas or liquid process analyzer sampling systems. This lightweight, compact instrument features a relay alarm trip point, an analog output, superior low flow sensitivity, and an RS232 interface. The advanced electronics and thermal dispersion flow sensing technology of FS10A extends excellent overall solution to sampling system flow assurance. When adopted for continuous monitoring of analyzer sample flows, the FS10A helps achieve consistent and maximum integrity process analysis.
The innovative FS10A Analyzer Flow Switch/Monitor is an accuracy flow sensor element that works seamlessly and ensures easy maintenance as it does not have any moving parts. In addition, it lacks orifices, cavities, or dead-legs that create contamination, thereby maintaining sample integrity and rapid system sampling times. The wetted parts of the device feature 316L stainless steel having Hastelloy-C22 sensor tips and are unaffected by corrosion.
The FS10A Analyzer Flow Switch/Monitor can be implemented in all types of emissions sampling systems and process. Standard configurations include an SP76 adapter and 1/8, ¼, 3/8 and ½ -in sampling tubes. SP76 forms a major part of the NeSSITM platform (New Sampling/Sensor Initiative). With a single 1.5x1.5-in SP76 base, the FS10A adapts with NeSSI Generation I and is being modified for G II and III compliance.
Based on the size of the tube, the FS10A Analyzer Flow Switch/Monitor works extensively in water/liquids from 0.0.01 GPH to 12.00 GPH (0.70 cc/min to 750.00 cc/min), and in air/gas from 0.02 SCFH to 200 SCFH (10 cc/min to 100,000 cc/min). It also includes wide turndowns with 100:1 ratio.
Enclosed within a fully-sealed, rugged aluminum design, the FS10A Analyzer Flow Switch/Monitor’s advanced electronics is available for remote/ integral mounting. It has 2 pressure-sensitive button touch controls and 10 LED array that are top-mounted. The standard RS232C serial interface or the two push-buttons can modify the monitor’s span and trip-point values.
The FS10A Analyzer Flow Switch/Monitor is being offered with 1A relay settable for NO or NC operation, and switch settings. The 4-20 mA output supports trending.
