Banner Engineering Offers iVu sensors with Touch-Screen Display

The iVu Remote Touch Screen Display is the latest addition to Banner Engineering’s iVu Image Sensor portfolio.

The sensors in this series, iVu Bar Code Reader and iVu TG Image Sensor, are known for their complete, easy-to-apply vision inspection even in areas that are far-flung.

The iVu Bar Code Reader and iVu TG Image Sensor, on introduction, featured integrated touch screens to facilitate onsite inspection setup as well as other alterations, if required. These sensors now feature a separate display in the place of the touch screen and are named as iVu Remote Series Sensors. The separate display allows for parameter modifications through a remote and single display programming. Through iVu Remote Display, comprehensive vision inspection is made possible without a PC or any other external device. This feature is particularly useful in areas restricted to personnel, clean rooms, sealed work cells, and other restricted areas.

Features of iVu Remote Touch Screen Display that make the sensors appropriate for composite inspections in challenging areas include: Display with two LED indicators - Power/Error and Pass/Fail inspection indicator - to provide remote sensors operation feedback. Compact, lightweight, and ergonomic unit with a diagonal 3.5" flat-panel LCD with touch screen color display with an option for hot swapping between multiple live sensors. Five cord set up to 50' in length with a viewing angle of 60° left and right and 50° up and 55° down. Stylus with cable and mounting bracket/docking station are included

The intuitive programming interface in the iVu Remote Display reduces installation time and accelerates operator training. A single display allows for the programming of multiple iVu sensors. As iVu Remote Series Sensors allows for hot-swapping of the display, which results in minimizing downtime while reprogramming is carried out to meet new application requirements. To provide easy access to the user interface and distance viewing, the Remote Display is connected through a cable that measures between 3' and 50' in length.
