K71000 Flash Point Tester

The Koehler K71000 Automatic Pensky-Martens Closed Cup Flash Point Analyzer is designed for precise flash point determination of a wide range of materials, including biodiesel, distillate fuels, new and used lubricating oils, residual fuel oils, cutback residua, petroleum liquid-solid mixtures, and samples prone to forming a surface film during testing.

Key Features

  • Conforms to ASTM D93 and related specifications
  • Flash Point Detection with Thermocouple and Ionization Ring
  • Software-selectable electric or gas ignition, with user-friendly manual switching
  • Flash Point operation ranges from ambient to 405 °C
  • Integrated Dual Fan System directly cools the test cup and surrounding environment
  • The 8.4-inch LCD touch screen interface allows for easy reading and navigation
  • Automatic Barometric Pressure Correction
  • The Fire Suppression System floods the instrument with inert gas in the event of a fire

The Automated Pensky-Martens Flash Point Analyzer combines next-generation technology with proven, reliable quality. It runs on an integrated processor PC with the latest Windows operating system. The 8.4 inch touchscreen displays all operator parameters and results clearly on a single screen.

A fully automated, software-selectable three-position mechanical lift system controls the cover and motor assembly—Open, Clean, and Test—for easy, one-touch test cup positioning. The analyzer comes standard with two flash detector systems: thermocouple and ionization ring. It can store over 65,000 results on the local hard drive. An integrated dual fan system cools both the test cup and the surrounding environment.

You can create an unlimited number of user programs, including a quick test that starts safely from ambient temperature, logs the flash point into the EFP of the official run, and prompts the user to refresh the sample, greatly reducing fire risk. The instrument also includes a built-in inert gas fire suppression system.
