ON Semiconductor Corporation, which is at the forefront of energy efficient innovations, has announced that ON Semiconductor, the leading company in automotive image sensors, has been selected by Bosch to be the image sensor supplier for a future camera technology for state-of-the-art advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).

The new image sensor is designed to meet the OEM needs for future ADAS cameras, and delivers high dynamic range (HDR) with advanced functional safety features. Thanks to this state-of-the-art functionality, camera performance is improved and traffic safety is increased.

With drivers becoming increasingly distracted with gadgets, innovative technology can make crucial differences in safety – differences that will also help drivers in identifying cyclists and pedestrians in difficult low-light conditions.

EuroNCAP, a safety standard, has led global requirements for easing the severity of rear-end collisions with increasing coverage for vulnerable road users in difficult low-light conditions. ON Semiconductor’s new image sensor technology allows safety systems to perform even in the most demanding light conditions.

We are committed to bringing best-in-class imaging technology into production ADAS systems. Bosch and ON Semiconductor have a proven history of developing new technology to improve safety where it counts the most – on the road, in cars people drive every day.
