OSI Optoelectronics Introduces Ultra-Low-Noise, High-Responsivity 1064 nm Optimized Photodetectors

OSI Optoelectronics, a leading global provider of photonics, optoelectronics, and advanced electronic systems for aerospace & defense, medical, and industrial OEMs, introduces the YAG detector series. The high-performance, ultra-low-noise, low-capacitance 1064 nm optimized family of photodetectors are specially designed for defense applications such as position spot tracking, position measurement, and guidance systems.

OSI Optoelectronics’ proprietary design is targeted for sensing low-light intensities requiring wide dynamic range. The new ultra-low-noise devices provide the best signal-to-noise ratio with high responsivity at 1064 nm.

The YAG detectors can be operated in photoconductive mode, where fast pulse response sensitivity is critical. Available as single- element or quadrant photodetectors, the product line features active area diameters ranging from  5 mm to 14 mm.
