ASM Sensors has introduced an advanced PRAS21 series to its POSIROT magnetic rotary sensor family. This PRAS21 series contact-free position sensing units employs an exterior position magnet to achieve an accurate signal output in the range of 0 to 3600 calibration range.
PRAS21 Series Contact-Free Position Sensors
This sensor is capable of performing constant wear-less function by virtue of an exterior magnetic source. The range of calibration is attained in 3600 and can even align lower calibrations with 150 increments. The output of the sensor is achieved as an analog voltage signal in the range of 0.5 V to 4.5 V. Various optional outputs can also be obtained based on the necessity. The sensor can be mounted easily using M3 screws.
The height of this particular PRAS21 series’ housing is lower than ¼ inch and is IP60 certified and the circuitry board is designed to resist vibrations and shocks. The 0.03 % full scale resolution is obtained at a measurement ranging from 600 to 3600,; 0.1 % full scale resolution within 150 to 450; ±0.03 % repeatability at 600 to 3600, ±0.1 % repeatability at 150 to 450 and with ±0.5% full scale linearity.
