Optris GmbH & Co. KG announces four new Infrared Application Packages that extend the capabilities of its proven Xi camera series. Tailored to meet the challenges of high-temperature processes, the new solutions include three Industrial Packages (with IR cameras Xi 1M IP, Xi 410 IP, Xi 640 IP) and one Furnace Package (with Xi 1M FP). Each package combines advanced thermal imaging with rugged protection, ensuring accurate and reliable performance even in extreme ambient conditions up to 250 °C.

Advanced Performance Across the Xi Portfolio
The Xi 1M Industrial Package offers a short-wavelength spectral range (0.85–1.1 µm) ideal for metallic surfaces and heat treatment processes. With a resolution of 396 × 300 pixels, temperature ranges from 450 °C to 1800 °C, and thermal sensitivity < 2 K, it provides precise monitoring in demanding metallurgical applications.
The Xi 410 Industrial Package delivers 384 × 240 pixels resolution and a broad spectral range (8–14 µm). It supports temperature ranges from –20 °C up to 1500 °C with NETD of 60 mK, making it highly versatile for general manufacturing and process monitoring.
For applications requiring the highest detail, the Xi 640 Industrial Package features VGA resolution (640 × 480 pixels), a 32 Hz frame rate, and temperature coverage from –20 °C to 900 °C. With USB or GigE (PoE) connectivity in combination with a USB server, which is required here, it ensures smooth integration into industrial networks.
Reliable Solutions for Harsh Environments
Completing the portfolio, the Xi 1M Furnace Package combines the proven short-wavelength Xi 1M with a water-cooled housing and laminar air purge flange. This configuration is optimized for continuous furnace monitoring, ensuring long-term reliability and accurate readings in dusty or high-radiation environments.
All packages include useful features such as water cooling, one or more industrial process interfaces, and high-temperature cables (up to 250 °C) and are delivered pre-assembled for quick deployment.
“With these new Infrared Application Packages, Optris provides customers a turnkey solution for reliable thermal monitoring under the toughest conditions,” says Torsten Czech, Head of Marketing at Optris.
