Designed for demanding industrial applications, the compact imager delivers precise non-contact temperature measurement through flames, making it ideal for monitoring workpieces in furnaces, chemical reactors, and combustion chambers.

The Xi 320 MT is the successor to the proven Xi 410 MT, offering improved performance and enhanced integration capabilities.

Product Update with Enhanced Precision

Operating at a spectral range of 3.9 µm with 320 x 240 pixels, the Xi 320 MT covers a wide temperature range from 475 °C to 1700 °C. With a thermal sensitivity of 1 K at 600 °C and an optical resolution up to 550:1, it provides accurate monitoring of even the smallest targets. The rugged IP67 housing, compact Ø 36 mm x 100 mm design, and motorized focus ensure durability and flexibility in harsh industrial environments. A frame rate of 30 Hz via Ethernet or 5 Hz via USB enables real-time monitoring for fast and efficient process control.

Industrial Connectivity and Software Integration

The Xi 320 MT is engineered for seamless integration into automation systems.

The updated optris infrared camera features Ethernet as its primary interface, facilitating seamless computer connection with a frame rate of 30 Hz. A USB interface with a frame rate of 5 Hz serves as a secondary option.

Moreover, Xi 320 MT provides features such as automatic spot finding or a direct analog output (0/4-20 mA). Optional stackable industrial PIF modules (stackable up to three 3 PIF’s in a row) provide up to nine analog or alarm outputs. Supplied with the powerful PIX Connect software, the camera supports advanced functions such as line scanning, image merging, and web server access for remote monitoring.

“With the Xi 320 MT, we are not only introducing a successor to the Xi 410 MT, but also setting a new standard for mid-wavelength infrared measurement technology,” says Ingo Stahlkopf, Head of Sales at Optris. “Its combination of precision, ruggedness, and versatile connectivity makes it an indispensable tool for our customers in high-temperature industries worldwide.”
