Within a WiFi infrastructure, PowerRTLS enables tracking of assets and people using active RFID technology. It suits a variety of markets, from hospital, to retail, to factory and warehouse space: anywhere asset and people tracking is needed.
Locate and Track Assets, Issue Alerts and Warnings
PowerRTLS enables the real-time tracking of assets and people. In a hospital, the technology can be used to locate staff or patients, or to track the movement of expensive medical equipment. The system can be set up to notify staff if a patient strays outside a designated care facility. This could be useful, for example, in a senior care center. In the retail industry, management can analyze and track shopper behavior and get up-to-date feedback on promotional campaigns. A promotion can be set up in a pre-designated hot zone and PowerRTLS will report the number of visitors to the area. And for high value equipment, alerts can be issued if equipment is removed from a pre-designated zone.
Works with WiFi Tags and Mobile Devices
PowerRTLS is easily integrated into many existing WiFi infrastructures (e.g. Cisco, Aruba, Ruckus, and more) and standard WiFi access points. The software supports RIT-901 Wi-Fi tags which includes many features: supports the IEEE802.11b/g/n standard , UART, SPI, GPIO, I2C, ADC, JTAG I/O interfaces on the chip; G-sensor for movement detection; a push button for emergencies; a power-saving function; and a remote setting status. PowerRTLS also supports tracking of mobile devices (Android and iOS). This is useful for keeping tabs on important people and their whereabouts, such as a doctor making rounds in a hospital.
Easy-to-Use Browser-based Management Console
The PowerRTLS management console is web-based and supports all recent versions of Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer. It’s is easy to use, and allows the setup of hot zones and e-maps for quick, real-time visual identification and pinpointing of the precise location of people or assets.
