Autoscope Vision, the future of video detection technology, has been launched by Image Sensing Systems (ISS), Inc. the developer of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) above-ground detection technology.

Video detection will advance to great heights with Autoscope Vision by providing a very accurate, user friendly, multi-tasking solution. Autoscope has been the leader in video-based detection for nearly 25 years, and Autoscope Vision continues the tradition of innovation.

The transportation sector requires solutions to make the most of the capacity of their current roadways, while improving safety and security for bicycles and vehicles. Autoscope Vision provides these solutions by providing the maximum level of accurate stop bar and modern vehicle detection, high-definition video surveillance, bicycle detection and differentiation, and all-inclusive traffic data collection.

Autoscope Vision’s performance is robust and is based on a reliable new hardware platform developed to handle future ITS capabilities and applications.

We are excited about introducing the Autoscope Vision to the transportation market. We listened carefully to end users to develop a new standard for video detection. Vision is designed to meet the needs of our customers by providing best in class detection accuracy, which is achieved by combining our proven algorithms with new object-tracking technology. Autoscope Vision offers a broad range of functions and simple, intuitive programming and setup. This product will elevate the safety and efficiency of intersection control for our end users. ISS and our partner Econolite are introducing the Vision technology to the North American market today at the ITE Annual Meeting in Anaheim, California.

Greg McKhann, General Manager of Traffic Management

Autoscope Vision is a comprehensive camera-processor sensor solution with a high-definition, broad dynamic range camera with state-of-the-art tracking-based algorithms for superior performance. Vision is complimented by an advanced Autoscope Comm Manager, a flexible communication hub with a tiny in-cabinet footprint that improves space efficiency.

The Comm Manager supports streaming video to mobile devices and local WiFi communications. These improved feature capabilities will be vital as Connected Vehicle and Smart Cities technologies carry on expanding and growing.

Autoscope Vision will be showcased at the upcoming ITE 2016 Annual Meeting held between August 14 and 17 in Anaheim, California and at IMSA Annual Meeting, scheduled between August 27 and 30 in Atlanta, Georgia by longtime partner Econolite Group.
