Cypress Semiconductor has declared the launch of a high-performance single-chip called the TrueTouch device that can be deployed for big multi touch screens up to 11.6 inches.
The CY8CTMA884 family provides 60 sensing I/O channels that support as many as 884 nodes on the screen. It provides extra sensing channels for better precision, linearity that supports small fingers. It can read multiple fingers when they are placed close to each other.
The solution s supports the10-finger touch, power efficiency, and high precision. It rejects grip and palm, and reduces scan time. It supports most table top devices with design flexibility, high performance and quality.
