CMOS Image Sensors Controls Crosstalk in Digital Video Cameras

Aptina will unveil its 1.1 and 1.4µ backside illumination (BSI) image sensors at the upcoming 2011 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain.

The 8-megapixel 1/4inch 1.1µ device and the 8MP 1/3.2inch 1.4 µ device suitable for mobile applications incorporate the Aptina A-Pix pixel technology that is deployed in the company’s front side illumination (FSI) 1.4 µ pixel products. This improves the lighting performance and crosstalk control.

A-Pix technology is advancing the performance of BSI solutions due to the raised FSI performance by Aptina A-Pix technology. These advances fused with the fill-factor benefit in BSI technology, provide superior low light performance with superb color reproduction. The company is presently collaborating with its partner Micron Technology to enhance production by the third quarter of 2011 for applications in mobile, digital still and video cameras. The AR0833, 1/3.2inch 1.4 µ 8MP device will offer integrators an option to the AR0831, 1/3.2inch 1.4 µ 8MP device.
