RKI's Breakthrough Confined Space Monitor, Purge + Barhole Tester

RKI has declared the launch of upgrade Model GX-2012, its recent innovation in portable instrumentation. Designed with contemporary features, this latest version, has advanced capabilities for purge and barhole testing in pipeline companies and gas utilities and implemented over general industrial confined space entry.

GX-2012 Five-Sensor Portable Gas Monitor

Model GX-2012 features excellent rugged IP-66 weather protection, datalogging capabilities and more intense alarm indicators, thereby surpassing Model GX-2003.

The new model is capable of:

  • Performing Barhole mode tests for peak Methane and oxygen levels
  • Operation using internal sample drawing pump with up to 50-foot range
  • Monitoring LEL, % volume methane, O2, CO, and H2S
  • 0 to 100% volume methane option with its auto-ranging ability.
  • Facilitates auto-ranging display of % volume and % LEL
  • Efficient calibration and bump test reminders with lock out option
  • Ensures high impact protective rubber over molding
  • Validated as intrinsically safe, ATEX/IECEX classified (cCSAus pending)
  • Contains easy access Li-Ion or alkaline battery packs

Model GX-2012’s Industrial features include:

  • Designed with high-quality micro-sensor technology, the GX-2012 is the smallest personal 5 sensor gas monitor containing an incorporated sample pump. With a weight of only 12 oz, it has multiple capabilities.
  • The GX-2012 is leveraged by a microprocessor. Its circuit trouble, sensor connections, low flow, low battery and calibration errors are constantly being evaluated. The GX-2012 is capable of performing interchangeable operation on either a Li-Ion battery pack or 3 AA alkaline battery pack.
  • The GX-2012's large LCD display exhibits all gas readings, current time, level of battery, ensuring automated backlight in alarm conditions.
  • The GX-2012 is capable of being optimized with cost-effective SM-2012 single channel calibration station.
