An Ideal Replacement for Standard Pulleys - Pulley Torque Sensors

The TorqSense RWT450/460 torque transducers comprise of all new electronics that have generated substantial performance gains in resolution, lower sensor current consumption, frequency response, and faster digital data throughput. Transducer overload has also been enlarged to 300%.

TorqSense Digital RWT450/460 series pulley/sprocket transducers are ideal for torque monitoring and process control on any belt/chain powered machinery. They offer individual electronics and sensor either with fixed outputs (RWT450 Series) or user-selectable outputs (RWT460 Series). USB and RS232 outputs are also provided for direct PC interface.

Key Benefits

  • High bandwidth 10 kHz
  • High accuracy and resolution
  • 300% mechanical safe overload
  • Low inertia – High-speed capability as electronics are not fixed onto shaft
  • Direct replacement for typical pulley/sprocket
  • Non-contact/brushless measurement – Basic RF couple for power/signal transmission
  • Superior noise immunity
  • Works both statically and dynamically – Clockwise and anti-clockwise
  • Separate digital electronics
  • Any full-scale torque can be indicated within the typical range: 100 Nm through to 10000 Nm
  • Lifetime warranty

TorqSense RWT450 Series Transducers Deliver

  • Fixed voltage or current analog outputs (one for torque and the other for power or speed) for interfacing with analog instrumentation
  • BIT Self-diagnostics for allowing the manufacturer to know that the transducer’s speed ratings, torque, and calibration due date have not been expired
  • Simple “Sensor status” output pin
  • Sensors to track shaft temperature for improved accuracy and compensation

TorqSense RWT460 Series Transducers Deliver

  • Digital outputs, such as CANbus, RS232, and USB, for interfacing with current laptops and instrumentation
  • Sensors to track shaft temperature for improved compensation and accuracy
  • Digital input for arranging transducer via PC
  • BIT Self-diagnostics allows users to know data is dependable, that the transducer’s speed ratings, torque, and calibration due date have not been exceeded
  • 2x user selectable voltage or current analog outputs (one for torque and the other for power, speed, or peak torque) for interfacing with legacy analog instrumentation
  • Transducer configuration software allows users to alter transducer variables
  • Ability to link up to 10 transducers using USB
  • Simple “Fail” output pin
