Edwards Lifesciences announced that it has received the CE mark from the European Union for its VolumeView and EV1000 platforms. The VolumeView sensor-catheter device monitors hemodynamics of a patient, while the EV1000 clinical monitoring system displays the physiological status of the patient.
The VolumeView platform has the ability to deliver volumetric parameters, such as global end-diastolic volume, and fluid volume in lungs, when integrated with the EV1000 system.
The EV1000 monitoring platform combines catheters and sensors in one system. It also features a touch-screen monitor for displaying color-coded alerts and clinical targets. The monitoring system is compatible with Edwards Lifesciences’ TruWave pressure transducer, PediaSat and PreSep oximetry cathers, and FloTrac sensor, as well as VolumeView.
