The GP2 Data Logger can log most sensor types and accepts voltage, resistance, current, potentiometer, counter, frequency, and digital state inputs. Another great feature of the GP2 is that it's analog inputs can be fully customized to suit the application and set-up. The unique DeltaLINK software allows the user to have full control over reading frequency, thresholds and units and can output statistical recording options for Average, Minimum, Maximum, Standard deviation and more. There are also a range of specialized options for wind measurement (rose/gusts etc).
User Friendly Design
Intuitive point and click software with advanced customizable options make the GP2 very easy to configure channel set-up and recording intervals. Sensor connections are laid out logically with clear, easy-to-follow diagrams and notes designed to make the GP2 as intuitive as possible.
The GP2’s weatherproof case, battery power and convenient accessories make it very easy to install – often without the need for a secondary enclosure.
The GP2 Data Logger has been upgraded to support SDI-12 inputs. All new GP2s come with SDI-12 as standard - and GP2s supplied before March 2016 can be easily updated via a software download.

The GP2 Program Editor is seamlessly integrated with SDI-12 functionality using DeltaLINK 3.2. Once the SDI-12 address and other SDI-12 measurement details are entered, each measurement can feature in Recordings, Conditions, Custom Formulas, and Scripts - the same manner as traditional analog and digital measurements, and without additional reference to SDI-12 measurement timings or commands.
Upgrading GP2s to SDI-12
Upgrade to DeltaLINK 3.2 software with firmware 2.10 to complete the upgrade to SDI-12.
The GP2 firmware can handle scheduling, such as power switching and issuing the essential commands, to ensure that the results are available for the program to function when needed.
The ‘Read Now’ feature of the DeltaLINK provides extra ad-hoc readings, both in real time and on demand, for diagnostic and commissioning use as well as for reassurance that the installation is operating as designed.
An SDI-12 sensor library resource consists of pre-defined SDI-12 sensor configurations and installation notes, which can be used extensively for SDI-12 sensors. These notes are available for download from the Delta-T software downloads page. SDI-12 measurements imported into DeltaLINK can be effortlessly added to a program using a single point and click menu selection.
The SDI-12 libary2 will be constantly updated. If users want to make use of the full flexibility SDI-12 devices provide they can generically configure each SDI-12 measurement parameter. An SDI-12 transparent mode terminal is offered to directly issue SDI-12 commands as required, for fixing the SDI-12 address, and for innovative configuration operations such as using SDI-12 extended commands.
Cables and Connectors
A field-attachable connector for SDI-12 interconnects with the sturdy Delta-T M12 5-way sensor/RS232 cabling system. The T-connectors and interchangeable extension cables allow a SDI-12 bus to be assembled easily and disassembled when diagnosing the reason for SDI-12 bus operation faults. The GP2 is compliant with SDI-12 specification version 1.3. The GP2 has a regulated +12 V, 0.5 A supply, which can be switched to optimize power consumption.
SDI-12 Profile Probes
The SDI-12 enabled GP2 is the natural data logger of choice for the SDI-12 version of the PR2 Profile Probe. Up to 50 SDI-12 profile probes can be connected to a single GP2 Data Logger (subject to cable length and power requirements).
Designed with research and field-work in mind, the GP2 Data logger is great for a wide range of applications including:

The GP2 can come equipped as a complete system including sensors, enclosures, solar power and a range of communications options.
A standard 4 Mbytes of FLASH memory enables the storage of 2.5 million readings (typical). Data can then transferred by a laptop locally via USB/RS232 or remotely using the GSM modem options.
The GP2 uses six alkaline AA internal batteries as standard. An optional mains power adapter is available (type GP2-PSU). Up to seven GP2s can share power and communications using an M12 cabling network.
