CAS DataLoggers in partnership with dataTaker has announced the release of the series 3 DT80 Intelligent Universal Input Data Logger.
The new model has been designed for accuracy, reliability and flexibility offering users advanced data logging features along with greater accuracy of measurements.
Ideal for remote monitoring, control and real-time data acquisition applications, the series 3 DT80 features various communications features as well as a cold junction compensation system which utilizes a RTD sensor that offers a high degree of accuracy. Accurate to 0.1 %, the sensor allows five times more precise thermocouple measurements. Furthermore the Series 3 DT80 also features two wire resistance measurements that allows for a maximum of three resistance measurements for each input channel in order to monitor sensor cable integrity. An additional 5 V terminal powers external devices having a 25mA limit enhancing the flexibility of the DT80. The phase encoder inputs, serial sensor channels, multiple high-speed counter inputs and the universal analog and digital channels connect the DT80 Data Logger to various data measurement and sensor sources.
Physical values such as frequency, 4-20mA loops, strain gauges voltage, temperature, current and resistance measurement can be scaled and logged by the data logger. All measurements are stored at an 18-bit resolution with an input measurement range of ±30 V. Expandable to 300 analog inputs; the Series 3 DT80 is capable of storing 10 million data points. The device is also capable of archiving data, copying data to USB memory and can transmit through FTP when required. It supports SDI-12 sensor networks, FTP, web interface as well as Modbus for SCADA systems.
The low power series 3 DT80 data logger is a robust, stand-alone system featuring an inbuilt display capable of functioning in challenging environments. The communications capabilities include Ethernet, USB memory stick ports, USB and RS232 with modem support.
The Series 3 DT80 is available with the pre-installed dEX software with a graphical interface that displays diagnostic information, calculations and sensor measurements in real-time while optionally providing the data in trend charts, mimics or tables for easy analysis.
