ISEE Launches OMAP5432-Based IGEPv5 Embedded Processor Development Board

The new IGEPv5 is an embedded processor development board based on Texas Instruments OMAP5432 Multimedia Application Device. The OMAP processor is designed to support high performance applications within a low power envelope, preventing the need for fans.

The IGEPv5 is designed to evaluate performance and benchmark features for advanced industrial applications. This board supports expandability via onboard connectors for the development of additional capabilities and functionalities, and is available in an extended range of operating temperature (-40 to 85ºC). The ultra-compact module (the dimensions are only 135mmx95mm) features a dual Core ARM Cortex A15 Processor with 1MB L2 cache. IGEPv5 is packed also with I/O including five USB ports, mSATA, up to 32 GiB Flash Memory eMMC, microSD, up to 3 displays and HDMI 1.4a (up to 1920x1200), DisplayPort, audio in/out, gigabit Ethernet, WIFI and Bluetooth wireless. It incorporates a 3D Graphics processing accelerator Unit and a 2D Graphic accelerator Unit, including a pair of Cortex-M4 microcontrollers for the image processing. The IGEPv5 will be available with 2GB of DDR3 RAM Memory expandable up to 4GB.

The IGEPv5 has the official ISEE support to simplify the implementation of specific hardware and software. The IGEPv5’s shipping will be on January; ISEE allows reservations contacting the sales department at [email protected]

  • Year established: 2006

  • Staff: 15 employees

ISEE is an engineering company specialized in embedded systems designed for industrial environments that can withstand temperatures between -40 to +85 ºC. Agustí Fontquerni and Manel Caro in Terrassa founded it in 2006. Actually the headquarter in established in Sant Cugat very close to Barcelona.

During his nearly eight years of life have managed to gain the confidence of different multinationals companies like Texas Instruments, specialized processors company and a world leader in the sector.

ISEE developed embedded systems (Embedded PC) processors based on ARM technology as its core hardware and GNU -Linux operating systems optimized for the industrial sector, where reliability and security requirements are very specific.

The result is an extensive range of industrial equipment with high performance and low power consumption. The dimensions of the equipment, as small as a credit card and even smaller, allow the integration into most designs and systems. Its applications include fields such as home automation, telemetry (monitoring devices on remote networks), medical equipment or GPRS signal tracking, among many others.

ISEE began his career designing and manufacturing ever-smaller computers for equipment to the industry. Their developments are in the market and its expansion continues innovating constantly with its own technology products, called IGEP Technology.

A defining feature of this company is its commitment to miniaturization. It has done with their computers that fit in the palm of your hand, and also with their radars, other business line began to develop at the beginning of creation.

ISEE currently available embedded processors, expansion boards for these processors and a radar platform itself. Each of these product lines has different versions to suit the needs of their customers.

All products have the ISEE support, which offers several development tools and software support to ensure rapid implementation of customer projects.

Furthermore, the flexibility of ISEE allows them to customize their own products to find the perfect solution for each design, putting the know-how of its team of engineers and developers at he customer’s service.

All standard products can be purchased through their website:
