Featuring high color precision, advanced interfaces, and user-friendly operation, the colorSENSOR CFO is a new controller designed for accurate color detection in industrial measurement applications.
The controller connects to CFS sensors with integrated optical fibers, which can be configured for various measurement requirements. The colorSENSOR CFO is used for color recognition tasks on interior components such as head supports, in packaging inspection, and in color-sorting processes involving crown caps, closures, or labels.

The advanced CFO controller can detect even the smallest color variations. Its high-performance light source, together with fiber optic sensors, enables it to accurately distinguish between colors on dark surfaces and glossy, reflective, and structured metals.

The colorSENSOR CFO performs internal analysis using stored reference color values at up to 30 kHz and delivers results via digital switching outputs. Additionally, raw data can be transferred directly to a PLC or machine control system in Lab or XYZ format at up to 500 Hz via UDP, RS232, or USB interfaces. Data transmission may occur continuously or only when requested.
Appropriate edge or level triggers also determine the duration or number of measured values transmitted.
