Pressure Transmitter Subsystems for HVAC Applications: HS Series

The HS Series DPT family provides the industry’s most flexible pressure range, output setup, bandwidth and other custom configurations via a simple tool where the user can completely design and implement product features in minutes.

The Multi-Range™ technology allows a single device to be modified to accommodate any of 32 pressure ranges, ranging from 0.1" inH2O (water column) to 60" inH2O, with several field selectable characteristics that can be customized at the factory without further programming or hardware modifications.

The HS Series has very high accuracy (within 0.10% of the selected range) and a steady zero point while measuring dry air and non-aggressive gas pressure. In the first 12 months, industry-leading stability is often better than 0.10% FSS, with Total Error Band (TEB) typically better than 0.10% FSS.

Analog interfaces have been combined with simple configuration software to substantially speed up product conception and engineering development efforts while also simplifying system calibration testing in manufacturing.

Superior’s proprietary NimbleSense™ architecture is used to build the industry’s first generation of “Transmitter Subsystems” with the HS Series family. This system offers a foundation for developing a highly adaptable and feature-rich pressure transmitter while retaining an overall low BOM and manufacturing cost.

Furthermore, the same platform could be used to create a full-featured pressure transmitter or a simple/dedicated pressure transmitter, while maintaining the capacity to fully configure the product at the factory.

The incorporation of advanced digital signal processing enables the complete pressure transmitter subsystem to be embedded into the sensor itself by inclusion of the ADC, DAC, advanced compensation and self-calibration features while providing a versatile and flexible pressure transmitter solution.

The HS Series family, which is built with a high-dependability plastic shell, offers the right combination of exceptional productivity, versatility, ease of development and reliability, assuring customers get a large-volume, low-cost solution that is optimized for their HVAC pressure transmitter.
