OTG-M220: GaAs-Based Fiber Optic Temperature Sensor

OpSens' OTG-M Series (OTG-M170, OTG-M220, OTG-M360, OTG-M420, OTG-M600, OTG-MPK5, and OTG-MPK8) fiber optic temperature sensors provide industry-leading perfomance. The temperature transduction process for the OTG-M Series sensors utilizes a well-established method based on the temperature-dependent bandgap of the GaAs crystal.

It is suitable for tip measurement applications because of the small sensing GaAs crystal that is placed at the optical fiber’s tip.

The reaction time, encapsulation material, and the diameter of the sensor (OD), which are detailed in the specifications section for each sensor, are what differentiate each model of the OTG-M series from the others.

The OTG-M Series provides unparalleled repeatability and dependability in the most challenging conditions, including as high levels of EM, MR, RF, and microwave field environments when combined with OpSens’ SCBG (Semiconductor Bandgap) signal conditioning technology and now with the advantages of fiber optic.

The OTG-M Series is designed using optical fiber that is industry standard and operates with all SCBG signal conditioners from OpSens. This small, strong fiber optic temperature sensor may be customized for use in OEM applications or customer-specific uses by offering a variety of optical cables and sheath alternatives.
