MadgeTech CTL2000 for Validation of Meat Sterilization Cycles

MadgeTech has recently introduced the CTL2000, a splashproof carcass temperature (CT) Lodger for measuring and recording data from a maximum of eight thermocouple channels.

These thermocouples can be positioned in different parts of the meat carcass to offer an overall temperature profile.

This capability will enable the user in verifying and validating meat sterilization cycles during the post-production stages.  The CTL2000 helps to reduce the pathogens and ensures that the regulations related to the post-slaughter sterilization process are complied with.

The device can be hung from a carcass directly through a stainless steel hook in the black anodized CTL2000 aluminum enclosure. The logger incorporates programmable start by means of a push button and status LEDs to ensure optimization of the process.

Whenever a thermocouple is severed or removed during logging, the data is automatically annotated by the software. This device enables users in the prevention of food safety problems. It also ensures minimum chances of recall of the sold meat.
