Viewing Barometric Pressure, Temperature and Humidity with the iServer MicroServer

The OMEGA® iBTHX transmitter enables monitoring and recording barometric pressure, dew point, relative humidity, and temperature over an Ethernet network or the Internet without the need for a special software except a web browser.

The iBTHX serves active Web pages in order to display real time readings; display charts of humidity, temperature, and pressure; or log data in standard data formats for use in a spreadsheet or data acquisition program such as Visual Basic or Excel.

The virtual chart viewed on the Web page is a JAVA™ Applet that records a chart over the Internet or LAN in real time. There is no need to invest money and time learning a proprietary software program to chart or log the data with the iBTHX,

Adjustable Charts

Chart scales are totally adjustable on the fly. For example, the chart can display one year, one month, one week, one day, one hour, or one minute.

It is possible to chart humidity and temperature within any narrow range (such as 20 to 30 °C) or across the full span (-40 to 85 °C and 0 to 100% RH). Barometric pressure can be displayed in inches of mercury (inHg), millimeters of mercury (mmHg), or hectopascals (hPa).

Display and Chart Measurements

The iBTHX transmitter comes complete with a with a barometric pressure, temperature, and humidity probe for measurement of a single location.

OMEGA® offers a wide range of industrial probes in 5" lengths, and a wand style for ambient indoor applications.

Award-Winning Technology

The OMEGA® iBTHX can be easily installed and used, and features OMEGA’s award-winning iServer technology that requires nothing but a web browser.

The iBTHX connects to an Ethernet network with a standard RJ45 connector and sends data in standard TCP/IP packets. It is easily configured with a simple menu using a Web browser, and it can be password protected.

From within an Ethernet, LAN, or over the Internet, the user just types an IP address or an easy-to-remember name such as “Midwest Server Room” or “Cleanroom 5” in any Web browser, and the iBTHX provides a Web page with the current readings.

Typical Applications

The OMEGA iBTHX is exceptional for monitoring humidity and temperature in applications such as: farm animal shelters, clean rooms, greenhouses, manufacturing, pharmaceutical/food processing and storage, HVAC systems, warehousing, museums, electronic assembly, semiconductor labs, laboratories, computer rooms, and hospitals.

NEW iBTX-SD with SD Flash Memory and LCD Display

The OMEGA iBTX-SD with LCD display adds a number of valuable features to the backlit local display of barometric pressure and temperature.

SD Flash Memory Card

The iBTX-SD comes complete with a removable 2 GB SD Flash Memory card capable of storing up to seven years of readings that are taken at ten second intervals.

Records on SD Flash Cards

The data is recorded on broadly available Secure Digital (SD) flash cards. The format is a simple “.txt” text file that can be effortlessly imported to spread sheets and other programs. It can be read on a MAC or PC with a USB card reader. Users can also download the data remotely over the Internet or an Ethernet network.

Alarm Relays

The iBTX-SD features two 1.5 A relays. With the easy Web-based setup page, it is possible to program the two relays for any combination of pressure or temperature, and low or high set points. The relays can also be programmed to remain latched and require a manual reset if a limit is exceeded.

Battery Backup

The iBTX-SD is available with a universal 100 to 240 VAC power adapter. A standard 9 V Alkaline battery (also included) enables the device to log data for up to two days without external ac power. Data recording will not be interrupted when there is a failure on the Ethernet network.
