The 953 VMax Series Linear Position Sensor for Factory Automation

Regardless of the application or operating environment, the Gemco 953 Series VMax Linear Displacement Transducer (LDT) is a linear position sensor designed to satisfy the most exacting processing requirements.

The VMax is highly adaptable, providing perfect accuracy and dependability, as well as high resolution and precision repeatability. The VMax is IP68-rated, making it resistant to contaminants and harsh conditions.

Its sturdy and durable mill duty structure outperforms competitors, and its vibration and shock resistance are lab tested at 30 Gs and 1000 Gs, respectively.

With its automatic gain circuitry and the most recent generation of magnetostrictive position-sensing technology, this linear position sensor is easy to install and configure. There are customization options to satisfy certain end-user needs. The VMax series is an excellent cylinder position sensor that provides absolute feedback.

Models

953A – Analog Output

The 953A VMax is a rod-style, non-contact linear position sensor that is accurate, programmable for zero and span, and auto-tuned. The sensor employs our field-proven Magnetostrictive technology to provide absolute position, accurate to 0.01 % of the programmable sensing range.

A wide range of analog voltage and current outputs is offered. All units contain a diagnostic LED that displays the unit's health and helps with troubleshooting. The analog devices include configurable Zero and Span points, and the analog output may be programmed for the whole active stroke length. Units can be provided in lengths ranging from 1" (25 mm) to 300" (7.6 M).

953D – Digital Output

The 953D VMax is a rod-shaped, non-contact, linear position sensor that is accurate, programmable, and auto-tuning. Using the field-proven magnetostrictive technology, the sensor provides absolute location, accurate to 0.01 % of the detecting distance.

Several digital outputs are available, including control pulse, PWM, and start/stop. Every device has a diagnostic LED to show its condition and facilitate troubleshooting. Unit span lengths range from 1" (25 mm) to 300" (7.6 M).

953S – SSI (Serial Synchronous Interface) Output

The 953S VMax is a rod-shaped, non-contact, linear position sensor that is accurate, programmable, and auto-tuning. Using our field-proven magnetostrictive technology, the sensor provides absolute location, accurate to 0.01 % of the detecting distance. Position Updates, Binary or Gray Code, 24, 25, or 26-Bit SSI (Synchronous Serial Interface).

Every device has a diagnostic LED to show its condition and facilitate troubleshooting. The analog output of the analog devices can be programmed across the whole active stroke length, and they have programmable Zero & Span points. The span lengths of units range from 1" (25 mm) to 300" (7.6 M).
