Magnetic Position Sensor for Wide Measurement Range

The PRAS21 series of magnetic position sensors have recently been introduced by the Automated Control Engineering Group (A.C.E.) and ASM to expand the POSIROT family.

This non-contact position sensor uses an external position magnet to provide an absolute output signal over a 0° to 360° measurement range.

The sensor uses an external magnet to operate constantly without needing to be replaced frequently. It can measure up to 360° but can be customized for smaller ranges as well. The device has an output analog voltage signal from 0.5 to 4.5V. The device is encased in a tough IP60-certified encasing while its height is less than 6.35mm. The device is shock and vibration resistant, and it has a resolution of 0.03 % and 0.1 % full scale. The device features a repeatability of ±0.03 % (60 to 360°); ±0.1 % (15 to 45°) and linearity of ±0.5% full scale. The device can be easily fitted with the help of M3 screws.
