PPS Launches High-Speed, Liquid-Resistant Spray Pattern Sensor System

Pressure Profile Systems (PPS), a tactile pressure sensor company, has launched the new Spray Pattern Sensor System for visualizing, characterizing and quantifying information about accumulated fluid deposition during coating and spray processes.

PPS Spray Pattern Sensor

During spray painting processes, such as spray painting of automobiles or using spray nozzle equipment for applying cosmetic products, the uniformity and the amount of fluid deposited is critical for controlling the cost and achieving the desired quality of finished product.

PPS’ Spray Pattern Sensor System is suitable for applications that use spray nozzles. It captures and provides the information in real-time. The system is a liquid-resistant, high-speed sensor mat that utilizes capacitive-based sensor array technology for measuring the fluid that gets deposited or applied on a surface. It can also sense very fine mists sprayed at low pressures.

The Spray Pattern Sensor features synchronized video capture. It utilizes Chameleon TVR software for visualizing the data of the spray pattern.
