Teledyne DALSA Introduces Genie TS Cameras with CMOS Imaging Sensor Technology

Teledyne DALSA, a global provider of machine vision technology, has introduced a new series of versatile cameras featuring the company’s advanced CMOS imaging sensor technology.

Versatile camera series ideal for Industrial Machine Vision, Traffic/Transportation and Medical/Scientific Applications

The Genie TS series cameras are GigE vision-compliant optimized camera series designed for traffic, transportation, medical, scientific and industrial machine vision applications.

Teledyne DALSA has introduced the Genie TS series in color and monochrome versions. This series of products have the capability of reaching speeds of up to 300 fps and are available in multiple formats including 1.2, 1.4, 2, 4, 5, 8, 12 and VGA. They also feature image compression, image filtering, image transfer-on-demand, color correction, and color space conversion.

The Genie TS is suitable for applications in industries having assembly and manufacturing processes such as electronics, semiconductor and packaging. It has also been designed for intelligent traffic/transportation systems applications. The camera platform has a significant dynamic range for optimizing image capture, auto iris, focusing and zoom functionalities, and motorized lens control having image-to-image aperture. The Genie TS has a direct-to-PC interface that is GigE Vision-compliant, which allows easy deployment of multi-camera networks and high speed data transfer. The camera also has RS-232 and RS-485 ports for controlling the camera’s peripherals. A greater distance between the inspection system and the camera can be maintained as the Genie cameras can transmit data up to distances of 100 m over CAT-6 and CAT-5e cables.

Teledyne DALSA's Genie Framework package allows quick set-up of the camera. It features sophisticated trigger-to-image reliability and provides a 360° view of the image acquisition process. The company’s Sapera Essential software supports accessibility of the Genie TS camera’s features.
