Tradeshow Talks with EnSilica - IoT Tech 2018

Tradeshow Talks with EnSilicaBooth 376

Please give an introduction to your company.

EnSilica is a 15 year old chip design company doing custom silicon chips for not just for the IoT, but also healthcare, automotive and communications.

What are you highlighting at the event?

Here, we are highlighting chips for the IoT markets. We aim to help people who need to collect large volumes of data, but also want to get their product smaller, faster, cheaper, higher performance, or a combination of those. A way you can do that, is to translate it into a custom chip and that's what we do.

How are your services unique?

Our service is unique in the respect that we deal with what is called new signal designs. In the sensory world, in the IoT world, everything is analog. Real world is analog. The difficult side, where the processing is done, is self-evidently detailed. What we do is we put the two things together using the chip, the single bit of silicon.

What are the applications of your chips?

There's a whole range. There's IOT applications, there's mobile phone applications, automotive, healthcare, there's wearables. Because they are not “our” chips as such, but rather we design chips for our customer’s needs, therefore, our applications are as wide as our customers’ requests.

What do you hope to gain from being at the IoT Tech Expo?

A bit of excitement, some new leads, new opportunities. It means so much to us to be seen and get out there talking to people. At events like this, if you come away with one new opportunity, then it’s been a success. We’ve got over twenty of them.
