Preventing Dangerous Carbon Monoxide or Hydrogen Sulfide Gas Exposure with the T40 Rattler Gas Detector

The T40 Rattler™ is an affordable, maintenance-free single-gas detector that has been designed to safeguard workers from dangerous carbon monoxide or hydrogen sulfide gas exposure. It can function in the harshest conditions and offers the following core features:

  • Low-cost CO or H2S monitoring
  • Up to 1,500 hours of run time on just one AA alkaline battery
  • Lightweight, compact design
  • Peak/hold feature

The T40 Rattler™ offers a range of features generally only seen in larger, multi-gas monitors. It includes a big, liquid crystal display (LCD), clear audible and visual alarms, an internal vibrating alarm, and easy push-button operation.

The device’s monitor will continually display ambient hydrogen sulfide or carbon monoxide levels in PPM. It will also alert users if these concentrations reach high or low levels. Alarm setpoints are adjustable, and the unit offers calibration gas values alongside the option of a text-only display that can be triggered via a short push-button process.

The T40 Rattler™ features a peak/hold facility that will keep track of the highest reading during a shift and also includes a patented flip-cap calibration adapter that enables fast and effortless calibration. The instrument can operate for up to 1,500 hours on a single AA battery (included as standard) and comes with a two-year warranty that is active from the date of the instrument’s manufacture.
