Shanghai Industrial µTechnology Research Institute Enters Collaboration with Berkeley Sensor and Actuator Center

The Shanghai Industrial µTechnology Research Institute (SITRI), a technical leader and R&D organization associated with the Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology (SIMIT), Chinese Academy of Sciences, announced today it has entered into an agreement with the Berkeley Sensor and Actuator Center (BSAC) at the University of California, Berkeley.

Utah Engineers Develop Inkjet Printed Filters Capable of Separating Different Terahertz Frequencies

University of Utah engineers have discovered a new approach for designing filters capable of separating different frequencies in the terahertz spectrum, the next generation of communications bandwidth that could allow cellphone users and Internet surfers to download data a thousand times faster than today. Once the filter is designed, it can be fabricated using an off-the-shelf inkjet printer.
