Monnit’s Wireless Sensor Technology Receives Global Certification

Monnit Corporation, a leading provider of wireless sensing solutions for commercial, industrial and consumer applications, today announced its wireless technology has received global certification. In addition to FCC and IC certification (U.S. and Canada), Monnit products recently received CE/ETSI (European) approval, making them suitable for global use supporting the “free” radio bands of 868 MHz and 433 MHz as well as 900 MHz.

Siemens is introducing three new communication modules for Simatic S7-1200 and two matching industrial routers with which remote terminal units (RTUs) can be economically implemented. The communication modules CP 1243-1, CP 1243-1 DNP3, and CP 1243-1 IEC connect the Siemens control via the Telecontrol Basic and Telecontrol Professional telecontrol systems to higher-level systems or a control center.
