During the recent Security Industry Association (SIA) New Product Showcase (NPS), the best new product award was bagged by the ‘Iris on the Move’ of Sarnoff, while Videx’s CyberKey Vault won the Judges' Choice Award for the unique outlook to a security solution.
The Iris On the Move Glance Compact System
Iris on the Move, an iris detection device, can acquire an iris image of a moving person from a 10-ft distance. This device is also able to achieve a throughput of up to 30 persons per minute. The CyberKey Vault can program and dispense electronic keys automatically and requires a PIN or an RFID card for functioning.
Jennifer Martin, NPS Committee Chair, informed that Sarnoff’s award was commendable since this year the participants were exceptional. Martin congratulated Videx, Sarnoff, as well as other award winners and thanked all participants for introducing their products and services on behalf of the NPS. The NPS showcased 85 products and services.
Besides the Judges’ Choice and the Best New Product awards, 14 other product categories were also awarded during the NPS. Smith’s PoolSonix Solar ( Powered Wireless Pool Alarm System), Aiphone’s JKW-IP (Best in IP Devices, Products and Software), Alvarion’s BreezeMAX Extreme 5000 (Best in Public Safety Solutions), AES-IntelliNet’s AES-7094 IntelliPro (Best in Residential and Monitoring Solutions), Middle Atlantic Products’ ViewPoint Console System (Best in Tools & Hardware), Behavioral Recognition Systems AISight 2.1 (Best in Video Analytics), Pentax Imaging’s PAIR (Pentax Atmospheric Interference Reduction) C61248 long-range zoom lens (Best in Video Device), Intransa’s Intransa Video Appliance Simplicity Line Server/Storage Appliance (Best in Video Storage and Distribution), and ECKey’s EK7 – Wireless Bluetooth Access Control (Best in Wireless).

NPS, a leading awards-oriented marketing program, is held ever year, along with the ISC West Show. The NPS program displayed its section on the floor of the ISC West where participants could witness state-of-the-art security solutions in the market.
