Cambridge Sensotec Integrates Innovative Oxygen Sensors to its Rapidox Series

Cambridge Sensotec provides various solutions for evaluating food packaging processes, for monitoring extreme thermal conditions and vacuum oxygen measurement in inert gases or to furnish analytical gas information for validating the influence of environmental factors and for numerous other significant purposes.

The company employs electrochemical and zirconia oxygen sensing units for its gas analysers in the Rapidox series. Most of the analysers of the company are operative utilizing a zirconia-enabled sensing device.

The zirconia oxygen sensor is highly advantageous as it responds rapidly indicating precise measurements even at reduced oxygen levels. These unique sensing units are capable of performing effectively in pressurised gaseous atmospheres as well as in vacuum. They are highly durable with over 35,000 hours of operation

During unfavorable conditions where the zirconia oxygen sensors are not so efficient, the company incorporates electrochemical sensors into the Rapidox series. These sensors are widely exploited for applications involving volatile organic gases compounds (VOCs) or for use with hazardous gases such as hydrocarbons.

The electrochemical sensing units work well with hydrogen and helium gases and are reliable for use in explosive zones and for use in extreme thermal conditions, zirconia sensing units are ideal.
