Two New Gaming Systems with Motion Sensors

Recently, two gaming systems featuring motion sensors have been launched. One of the new gaming systems is the Microsoft Kinect, which has been designed for Xbox 360. The Kinect features a slim motion bar that is compatible with both the old and new Xbox models.

Sony PlayStation Move

The Kinect gaming system identifies the movement of the user’s body using its sensor. Hence, the user does not have to hold a control in the hand, rather the system enables the user to function as the controller. The gaming system has the potential to start operation in one or two minutes. At present, the Kinect provides 17 games of different genres.

The other new gaming system is the PlayStation Move from Sony, designed for use with the PS3. This controller system has been designed to function with the existing PlayStation units. The Move controller recognizes the motions with the help of a camera and replicates the actions on screen. However, the gaming system is difficult to configure, when compared to other systems in the market.

The PlayStation Move comprises s motion controller, a PS3 Eye camera, and a secondary navigation controller. These components can be purchased as one bundle, or individually.
