FQ-Series Vision Sensors from Omron

Omron has launched the FQ-range of vision sensors for checking intricate confection placement and evaluation of caps, date codes, and labels. These sensors feature rapid, actual color processing potentialities with integrated intense-power LED lighting and lens.

The FQ vision sensors have an imager and an image processor in its sensing head, and provide an option of PC or TouchFinder visual display unit for arrangement and monitoring. The uncomplicated and sensitive icon-enabled menu system in the devise avoids the necessity of complicated tutoring and expertise in handling it. These sensors have high dynamic range (HDR) technology with complete color processing with about 16.7 million colors, features integrated halation and polarizing filters eliminating glare for appropriate contrast, and have in-built high-intensity LED lighting functionality. All these characteristics allow for constant evaluation even with intensely reflective, less contrast and complex target identification, in contrast to the traditional vision sensors. They also deal easily with minute deviation between the targets and with target non-arrangement. These models provide a maximum of 32 concurrent evaluations within a scene.
