Innovative environment-friendly rest stops will be displayed alongside the Maryland Interstate 70 by the officials of the Maryland highway.
The exhibition will provide information related to the state’s recreational, heritage, cultural resources along with the travel information.
These stops will help in reducing the energy utility and maintenance expenses by furnishing effective geothermal radiant floor heating, lighting, sensing devices for evaluating water consumption and supplying novel wastewater treatment plants. A silver rating has been given for this innovative construction based on the LEED system for the South Mountain rest stops, close to Boonsboro.
