Leuze’s Smart Camera Reads Fast Moving Labels

Leuze electronic has introduced the LSIS 422i smart camera that reads up to 99 2D barcodes or data matrix codes on every image simultaneously.

This capability enables this smart camera to be utilized in any situation where a number of labels are to be identified and analyzed at high speed.

The software and the 54 µs short exposure time helped to enhance the performance of the camera in a decisive manner. The camera enables the user to read inverse 2D codes also. The user can set the sensitivity for a particular application and also stipulate the quality criteria that has to be maintained. In this manner, the smart camera ensures a high degree of reliability and high reading speed.  

During practical applications, the recording of fast moving labels is a frequent and major challenge faced by smart cameras.
