Cognex has recently introduced the Checker 4G Series of sensors that allows its configuration either as a presence or measurement sensor to be used to inspect and avoid errors in the manufacturing process.
Checker 4G Series
While the presence sensors ensure that features are present, measurement sensors ensure that features conform to height, width and/or diameter requirements. The number of part features that a single sensor can ‘check’ is seamless. The patented part detection technology sensors can detect and check more than 6,000 parts per minute at differing positions down the production line.
The series complements the present 3G Series that had simple USB port and no PC connection available with the SensorView teach pendant. The 4G Series is being offered in both high speed and high resolution models.
