Rohde & Schwarz has added wideband sensing devices to its USB-enabled power sensing systems, for calculating power from a range of 50MHz to 40GHz without using a base unit.
The sensing devices are linked to PC using a USB connection eliminating the requirement of a base unit. The envelope power of the sensors exhibit a wide dynamic range in the order of 47dBm to +20dBm.The NRP Z85 as well as the NRP Z86 sensing units suppliesconstant-average calibrationsranging from60dBm to +20dBm.
The sensor’s calibrationupsurgetimes is lower than 13ns and calculates peak power as well as average power throughout a particular time period, besides executingstatistical signal investigation (CCDF, PDF).
