Defentect Deploys Threat Detection System at Major Hospital in the Northeastern US

Developer and supplier of instant intelligent messaging software solutions, Defentect Group has started the deployment of its threat detection system at a prominent hospital located in the Northeastern US.

Defentect is fixing its Gammatect sensors at major entry points of the hospital campus. The sensors are designed to correspond with the company’s patented DM3 technology. This deployment is the execution of an earlier order given by the hospital. Defentect expects more orders from the hospital for its other facilities located across the US.

The chief Executive Officer at Defentect Group, James Ackerly, said that the hospital facilities require the detection of radiation as some kinds and quantities of radioactive substances are anticipated to be transported in and out of the facility. Patients who undergo radiation therapy carry some isotopes along with them when they enter and exit the facility, he added.

Ackerly further said that Defentect's threat detection system offers isotope detection to differentiate between illegal transfer of radioactive substances and patients. The system triggers alarms only if an incident happens that is not in the parameters designed by the hospital. The sensor-agnostic characteristic of the company’s DM3 technology enables it to be the more preferable option for these customers, he concluded.
