TAOS's ALP Sensor

The company has been deploying digital ambient light sensors to adjust the brightness of display screens without compromising on energy consumption for nearly ten years now. The sensor has been used in various products such as mobile phones, netbooks, computers and tablets besides portable gaming remote controls and MP3/DVD systems.

It can also be used in touch screen smart phones and laptops to turn off the display or for other functions in other devices such as laptops and monitors. It can reduce energy consumption, besides ensuring user-privacy when not in use.
