Venstar has launched its ColorTouch Commercial, a multi-use, user-friendly, touch screen thermostat for commercial applications.
It can be customized for specific applications with photographs or graphics. It is ideal for the food industry and retail outlets where food on the menu or consumer products could be advertised on the thermostat.
Its Time Period Scheduler helps it to consume power only when in use, and it saves energy when the system is not being used by altering the temperature and mode for three items a day. It switches to a comfortable temperature level when the premise is in business.
It can be pre- set to switch on or off for a maximum of three periods when the business will be occupied, allowing energy to be saved during breaks, nights, cleaning or stocking. A preoccupancy purge feature lets the use of a fan prior to occupancy to allow for fresh air circulation. The vacation calendar allows display of vacation dates to inform customers of upcoming closure periods. The SD memory card helps save settings and other information. Photographs and graphics can be uploaded easily. The device can be turned on or off with a touch code for security.
