The device can be used to remote control temperatures in refrigerators in healthcare where it automatically documents regulatory compliance. They monitor temperatures from cryogenic -200° C to room temperature +50 °C. It can be specifically designed to record rates to seconds with an accuracy of 0.50 °C.

They alert users when the temperature fluctuates, and offer continuous data automatically, removing the possibility of human error. They are detachable and can be used to suit customer’s requirement. The Magee-Women’s Hospital of UPMC has recently begun using the device.

They monitor and control temperature of freezers where patient blood samples and medications are kept, minimizing contamination and enhancing patient care quality, thus saving patient care costs. They remove the need for manual monitoring thus reducing workforce costs.
