Optical Sensing Platform for Electronics Industry

Blakell Europlacer, a company that develops and produces SMT placement systems targeted at the global electronics market will showcase its XPii-II at the SIEL 2011 to be held in the La Chargia, Tunis, Tunisia, between March 2 and 5.

The system is a modular pick-and-place solution that includes the company’s iineo platform. Its linear motors need minimum maintenance, along with digital cameras and integrated optical sensing units. These features offer users iineo capabilities in a compact package. The end product can be customized to suit consumer demands.

XPii-II features two placement heads and features a turret head, intelligent feeders and software. It has optional turret heads and optical sensing devices to identify parts 01005 in size, and connectors.  It includes parts on tape, strip tape, stick and matrix trays.

The system deploys the Integrated Intelligence for multiple placement options in a single solution. The easily configurable system is available in two options, either with  8 or 12 nozzles, tape or feeder trolleys, and a matrix tray sequencer. It also has an internal matrix tray.
