Matrox Imaging, a company that develops component-level solutions, is now offering a 5MP sensor with the Matrox Iris GT smart camera.

The 5MP high resolution monochrome CCD sensor is designed for precise evaluation of large packages and parts.
The Matrox Iris GT5000 smart camera’s sensor is 2448x2050 pixels at 15 frames per second 2/3” monochrome CCD. It is housed in a dust-proof, washable and sturdy casing with an IP67 rating.
The Matrox smart camera runs Windows XPe or Windows CE 6.0 and has an integrated graphics controller that has a VGA output, a 2 GB flash disk and a 512 MB DDR2 memory. An Intel Atom 1.6 GHz processor powers the camera.
The company is offering the smart camera in two versions, either with the Matrox Imaging Library or with the Matrox Design Assistant interactive development environment.
