Pinnacle Security declared that it the first company to introduce the image sensor in the market. The Image Sensor is a motion sensing device that comprises a camera, which captures images and communicates the data through a cellular network.

Image Sensor

The device will be available in the market in the beginning of May 2011. The camera used in the sensor use an advanced technology from Alarm.com. It can detect movements at a home environment and take pictures as well.

Kelly Walker, CEO at Pinnacle Security, was happy that they were the first to introduce the image sensor. He claimed that the image sensor provides the best technology for home security at affordable rates. The image sensor would continuously monitor and detect motion and also upload pictures of potential intruders onto the Pinnacle Mobile Control interface. The pictures are then sent to the customer’s mobile phone in the form of email or text messages. The sensor allows home owners to view the person who deactivates the security system on their Blackberry, iPhone or other MMS-enabled devices. Users can also monitor the activities of children, pets or elderly people at home while they are away with the help of the image sensor.

Steve Trundle, CEO and President of Alarm.com, explained that the sensor system is a simple solution for home and office security. He added that the image sensor is a combination of a robust image processing engine housed in a compact wireless device that allows users to monitor the events both at home and workplace.
