Razer Launches Professional Gaming Mice with 4G Dual Sensor Technology

Razer has introduced the most advanced gaming grade tracking technology with 4G dual sensor system, which utilizes both a laser and an optical sensor for excellent tracking precision. It delivers extremely professional gaming mice in two versions, the Razer Imperator and the Razer Mamba.

In the year 1998, the world’s first gaming mouse was developed by Razer and from that time the company has been trouncing all competitors with next-generation sensors. The other mice performed at speeds of 500 dpi, while the Razer mice operate at 2000 dpi and above. The Razer mouse’s tracking precision still remains unrivalled.

The 4G dual sensor system integrates both the laser and optical sensor to give a high level of tracking accuracy and allows the user to optimally track the swipes speedily and precisely for the best gaming performances. It also allows the user to determine the cutoff height for tracking purposes when the mouse is picked up from the surface. This helps gamers such as low sensitivity FPS gamers to accommodate wide sweeping motions.

Robert Krakoff, who is the President of Razer USA and also called as RazerGuy, revealed that he is greatly excited by the new advanced technology. He mentioned that the company had worked along with several professional gamers to polish up and perfect the sensor subjecting it to intense gaming conditions to achieve a high level of tracking precision. According to him, the mouse was the center and basis of all gaming setups and is still one of the most important areas for the company’s R&D.

The 4G dual sensor system contains a number of features such as surface calibration, two sensors in one system, rapid surface detection and lift-off distance customization.

Jan Koch who is a veteran Counter Strike Source player with Mousesports commented that he is highly impressed with the new technology. Maciej "srs|av3k" Krzykowski, Serious Gaming’s Quake Live Legend, disclosed that he had found that the new sensor when tested with whatever material proved to provide precise tracking and highly accurate and immediate cutoff.

The Razer Mamba is the flagship of the Razer brand and gives unhindered swiping freedom and longer battery life.
