Razer Releases Mouse With Dual Sensor System

Computer peripherals manufacturer Razer has released a new 4G Dual Sensor System for mouse pointing devices. The new optic sensor plus laser sensor mouse is especially handy if you are a gamer. The high-tech sounding mouse is based on the belief that two sensors are better than one.

As per Razer,

You can now precisely calibrate the mouse to a specific surface. This is done by the system capturing the distance between the sensor and the surface so it can optimally track your swipes more rapidly and accurately for the best in-game performance. Also, once surface-calibration has occurred, you can configure the system to cut-off tracking at your desired distance once the mouse has been lifted. This is particularly significant for FPS gamers who need to pick up their mouse from the edge of their mouse mat and reposition it at the centre without having to deal with mouse-look following the repositioning movement they don't want registered. With the ability to determine tracking cut-off distance, the cursor freezes when you need it to after mouse lift-off and your aim stays dead-on target.

Razer is releasing the dual sensor technology in two products the Razer Mamba and the Razer Imperator. The Razer mamba has a 6400 dpi 4G Dual Sensor System with a 1000Hz Ultrapolling/ 1 ms response time up to 200 inches per second/ 50 g acceleration and multi color lighting. It will cost $130

The Razer Imperator is cheaper at $80 but includes seven independently programmable buttons and a rubberized contoured thumb grip. Both have a battery life of 16 hours with continuous gaming usage. The two will go on sale worldwide starting this July.
