GPSit Smart Board for Covert Tracking

During the Expo Seguridad Mexico 2010, a premier security trade exhibition of Mexico, the GPSit products will be showcased from April 20 to 22, 2010. Businesses tracking the movement of high-valued goods and enhance loss prevention processes require very reliable and highly precise asset tracking techniques in Mexico.

A web-based application, termed ‘Trackfusion,’ enables tracking of cargo. It offers visibility of the in-transit goods in real time. Tracking devices are able to get a fix by using the gpsOne position location technology from Qualcomm available on CDMA-based networks, even if these devices are enclosed in a shipment at a closed trailer’s back. The presence of light is detected by photo sensors, while the movement is detected by the vibration sensors, resulting in increase in battery life of the tracking device. The gamut of asset tracking applications in Mexico has been introduced due to these improvements in technology.

The Mexican service is facilitated by the IUSACELL, a cellular services partner of GPSit. The CDMA data network of IUSACELL offers the data and location services for enabling the highly precise A-GPS locates of the FS1 range of covert tracking devices of GPSit.
