Advanced Sensors Wins Major Middle Eastern Sensors Contract

Advanced Sensors, a firm from Carrickfergus, County Antrim, Northern Ireland, that markets its products as “the world's best oil in water analyzers”, has snagged a five million pound contract in the Middle East.

To assist the company Invest Northern Ireland has offered it over £124,000, part of which is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

Arlene Foster the Enterprise Minister said that supporting and encouraging companies to export is an essential part of developing a strong, competitive economy. Foster added that Advanced Sensors was an established, export-focused company with a reputation for the successful development of highly innovative products for global markets.

The Minister said that this Research & Development project has strengthened the company’s product portfolio with the new oil in water monitor offering considerable sales potential in competitive export markets.

Khalid Thabeth, CEO of Advanced Sensors said that their new product, developed with R&D support from Invest NI, is based on leading edge technology. He believed it to be the only zero maintenance reliable oil in water analyser available in the world.

Thabeth added that the feedback they had received from customers had been entirely positive. This order represents one of the biggest sales of such analyzers in the world and will support the continued growth of the business in the global oil extraction and processing industry.

Advanced Sensors Ltd provides instrumentation, detection systems and communication solutions for the oil and gas industries. The company was formed in 2005 to exploit the market need for a trouble free, zero maintenance oil in water analyzers. Using innovative technology for which patents are pending Advanced Sensors Ltd has produced their OIW-EX Series range of Oil in Water Analyzers.
